The Centre has approved funds worth Rs.82 billion for building 1.13 million housing units in West Bengal. These houses will be built in rural areas with their completion expected by the end of March 2023. As per the target set by the ministry of rural development, the state will complete 97.4 per cent of its rural target by building these 1.13 million dwelling units.
