UPEIDA proposes 6 new expressways in Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has proposed a plan aimed at constructing as many as six new expressways in Uttar Pradesh. These include Prayagraj-Varanasi Expressway, Meerut-Haridwar Expressway, Rampur-Rudrapur Expressway, Chitrakoot-Prayagraj Expressway, Jhansi Link national highway (NH)-27 Bundelkhand Expressway and Vindhya Expressway. These structures will connect major religious towns of the state with Bundelkhand Expressway and Ganga Expressway. As part of it, Varanasi and Haridwar will be connected by the Ganga Expressway. The Bundelkhand expressway will also be connected with Prayagraj and Mirzapur districts.
