APDCL inks pact with NLCIL to set up 1,000 MW solar power project

The state-run Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) joined hands with NLC India (NLCIL) to set up 1,000 MW of solar power generation capacity in the state. This project will envisage an investment of Rs.55 billion. According to NLCIL Chairman and MD Rakesh Kumar, the project capacity will be spread over 2-3 locations across the state and will start generating power in the next 1.5 years.
