IR preparing DPR on 7 bullet train projects

Includes Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail corridor

The Indian Railways (IR) is preparing the detailed project reports (DPR) for seven high-speed rail corridors. This information was shared by union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The seven bullet train corridors under consideration are Delhi-Varanasi, Delhi-Amritsar, Delhi-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Nagpur, Mumbai-Hyderabad, Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru, and Varanasi-Howrah. Of these, the bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad is under execution. The 500 km-plus project is estimated to cost Rs.1 trillion.
