Foundation stone laid for water supply schemes in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur
On 7 February 2022, Himachal Pradesh MLA from Bilaspur laid the foundation stone for water supply schemes worth Rs. 250 million in the district. The Rs. 200 million Bhatoli scheme would provide sufficient water to 16 panchayats that were facing a water shortage, especially during summer seasons. Another Rs. 50 million water supply scheme would be launched in Malyawar, reported The Tribune. The MLA also informed that around eight water storage tanks would be constructed and over 2,370 water connections would be installed. Besides this, an amount to the tune of Rs. 140 million is being spent to improve water supply in the Hamirpur Assembly constituency, he added.
