Foundation stone laid of 50-bedded field hospital in Manipur’s Noney

On 30 November 2021, the state chief minister (CM) N Biren Singh laid the foundation stone of a 50-bedded field hospital at Longmai part-1 in Noney district. The hospital will be set up under the State Health Society, National Health Mission at an estimated cost of Rs.35 million. The pre-fabricated field hospital is expected to be ready by 31 March 2022. According to the CM, the state government has approved the construction of three more such hospitals in Kamjong, Tengnoupal and Pherzawl. The estimated cost of the projects has been pegged at Rs.140 million.
