Tata Projects wins contract from CMRL

To build 9-km-long underground stretch along with 4 metro stations

Tata Projects won a contract from the Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) to build a nine-km-long underground stretch along with four metro stations, the company announced on 19 May 2021. Although the company did not reveal the order value, a source said that the metro project is worth Rs.19.99 billion. The project falls between Venugopal Nagar and Kellys station. It is a part of phase 2 / corridor 3 of the Chennai Metro rail network, and it has to be completed in a period of four years.
