Foundation stone for Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project laid on 30 March 2018

Project will have 2 underground units of 30 MW each

The foundation stone of the proposed Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project (NMHEP) was laid on 30 March 2018. The project is located on the river Tons, which is a subsidiary of the Yamuna river in Uttarakhand. After completion, it is expected to have two underground generating units of 30 megawatt (MW) each. The project was awarded to SJVN by the Uttarakhand government. The project, which is likely to cost Rs.6.48 billion, is expected to get completed by December 2021.
